A book of portraits and stories
of people with Parkinson’s.

My name is Peter Scharff. In January of 2015 at age 63 I was diagnosed with Parkinson’s. As a photographer I was immediately drawn to the idea of taking portraits of others with Parkinson’s.
46 people invited me into their homes. While photographing them and recording their stories my objective was to capture the amazing spirit, creativity and humor I witnessed.

Buy a copy of Facing Parkinson’s for yourself and pay a little extra so that additional copies can be distributed for free to people who are facing their own journey with this progressive and still incurable neurological disease.
As Kevin B. says in the book, “We learn from each other's stories.” It helps us all not feel so alone and helps us understand what we are dealing with.
